Ravenswood has been named one of Australia’s most innovative schools for the fifth time in six years by The Educator, selected on the 5-Star Innovative Schools 2023 list.

This list recognises 36 schools from across the country at the forefront of change and innovation. From teaching approaches to learning spaces and curriculum design, the report looks at schools reshaping the future of education.

Ravenswood was recognised for its annual innovations in design and delivery of the multi-layered Positive Education curriculum and teaching approaches across the School, as well as the extensive innovative professional development opportunities for staff. The School's key partnerships with leading international thinkers and tertiary institutions, innovative learning spaces and new Wellbeing Path, the first of its kind in Australia designed to enhance physical activity, mindfulness, and overall wellbeing for students and staff, were also some of the key elements recognised by the judges that contributed to Ravenswood being honoured as one of Australia’s most innovative schools.

Principal Mrs Anne Johnstone says in the 2023 Educator special report, ‘The desired result of innovation at Ravenswood is multifaceted, primarily focusing on holistic student and staff wellbeing, academic excellence and a thriving school culture. Our desired outcome is to help our students fulfil their potential, lead meaningful lives and allow our whole school community to flourish.’
