HSC 2023 Results

For well over a century, our School has enjoyed a long-standing reputation for academic excellence. Our 123 HSC students (120 HSC Class of 2023 and three Year 11 HSC Accelerants), together with our International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma students, have continued this tradition, applying themselves with great commitment, resilience, grit, and passion.

Today’s release of the HSC results forms only part of Ravenswood’s 2023 Year 12 results.

Highlights of our HSC student achievements include:

· Six students have achieved ATARs above 99;

· Congratulations to Mei (Youki) You who achieved First in Course in Chinese in Context;

· Congratulations to Sydney Bao who achieved a perfect score of 50 for English Extension 1;

· Congratulations to the following HSC Top Achievers in Course:

o   Mei (Youki) You placed 1st in Chinese in Context;

o   Sydney Bao placed 3rd in English Extension 1 and 14th in English Advanced.

·       11 students were recognised on the HSC All-Round Achievers list. These students accomplished results in the highest band possible in 10 or more units: Congratulations to Sydney Bao, Wenxin (Wendy) Duan, Clare Goben, Abbey Gray, Mollie Houghton, KaChing (Natalie) Hui, Lucy Larvin, Amelie McIntyre, Alexandra McKibbin, Baoqi (Eli) Xiang, Mei (Youki) You;

· 209 mentions on the HSC Distinguished Achievers list (a result in the highest band for one or more courses), achieved by 74 students;

·  96% of students achieved in the top two bands in English Advanced and English Extension courses;

·  45% of students achieved in the top band in English Advanced and English Extension courses;

·  In 21 subjects, all students achieved results in the top two bands;

·  Our 123 HSC students performed with excellence across 46 courses, with 78% of their results in the top two achievement bands;

·  All students who studied the following four subjects received a result in the top band: Chinese Extension, Dance (Accelerated), Japanese Extension and Studies of Religion II;

·       37% of students achieved in the top band in Mathematics Advanced and Mathematics Extension courses.

 

Our Class of 2023 also received 21 HSC Showcase nominations – an historically high achievement. Congratulations to the following students for their Showcase selections and nominations:
